    This page is NOT for challenging the outcome of deletion discussions or to address the pending deletion of any page.

    Shortcuts

    Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in two cases. The first case is restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions (G6) or stale Articles for creation drafts (G13)), or in deletion debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. In the second use case, this page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be "userfied", i.e., restored as a draft or emailed to you; this way, the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here).

    This means that content deleted after discussion – through deletion processes – may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process but through deletion review instead. Copyright violations and attack pages will not be provided.

    Do not request that pages or media deleted under speedy deletion criteria F7, F9, F11, U5, A7, A9, A11, G3, G4, G10, G11 or G12 be undeleted here.

    @Notadean: Declined pending further information. This was undeleted over six months ago with a pledge that it would be worked on, but no edits were made to improve the entry for resubmission. Draft space is not an indefinite hosting service for material found to be unsuitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia's article mainspace. We may be willing to restore it again, but only if you provide a definite assurance that you actually intend to work on it and provide a short description of what you intend to do to improve it to meet our policies and guidelines.     Basically I have just been too busy to work on this, but would like to reserve the option to do so in the future. I'm happy to archive a copy on my local machine until I have time to get back to this and finish it up if you can give me access to the draft for 24h.
    Finishing it up means adding more citations to support the statements made about the recent history of the department and removing some of the language that was judged to be based more on opinion than hard facts supported by citation-based references.     Soft deleted at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Masahiko Nakahira. The article was about a well known person in history behind one of the most well known fighting game series of all time. I am so sad that the article was nominated for deletion, and that the issues seem to have been addressed now.     The page was deleted under the R2 criterion for cross-namespace redirects. I believe this was an error, as the page was intended to be an article in the main namespace. Shuying Li is a notable Chinese-American composer with significant contributions to contemporary classical music, and her notability is supported by reliable sources. His popularity even led him to becoming a playable fighter in the Super Smash Bros. series, starting with the very first installment on the Nintendo 64. His signature move in the game, FALCON PUNCH!!!, has quickly become an internet meme and probably the most iconic Smash Bros. move of all time. I am so sad that the article for him was nominated for deletion and redirected to the main F-Zero game series article. Since this was a redirect to the main F-Zero game series article, I would appreciate it if you would consider removing the redirect on the article, or perhaps moving it to Draftspace.
